Kaatwalk, a Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter, infuses her music with a quiet honesty that resonates deeply with listeners. Her musical style is a harmonious blend of heartfelt lyrics and a stripped-down, authentic sound.
Inspired by storytellers like Brandi Carlile, Phoebe Bridgers, and Joni Mitchell, Kaatwalk’s music defies genre boundaries and embraces lived experiences. Her songwriting is personal and reflective, often drawn from the shared moments and emotional undercurrents of everyday life. She has released three songs so far: “Monster,” “Rum in Your Coffee,” and “Peace of Mind,” a collaboration with the Fargo-based band Walking Phoenix.
Kaatwalk has been recording new music with respected Minnesota musicians such as Marvin Gohman, Bob Delage, Phil Solem, Gil Navarro, and several guest players. Additionally, she has been working with engineer John Wright at his studio in Savage, Minnesota.
Outside of her solo work, she performs full-time as one half of the duo Marv and Kaat, and sings with the epic, powerhouse group, The Holy North. Collaboration and community are central to her creative process.
Kaatwalk believes that music isn’t about perfection; it’s about being present and connecting with others. She’s grateful for every opportunity to grow, connect, and share songs that feel authentic.
